For the Friends of Brera Association, cherishing a major state museum means enriching its heritage by promoting legacies, donations and acquisitions of particularly significant works for existing collections. It also means supporting cultural events and restoration campaigns and developing a series of important activities to spreading knowledge and encourage artistic culture through visits to museums, exhibitions and artistic itineraries.
Then the Association supports Educational Activities not only for Members but also other groups, such as schools, teachers and non-EU citizens through a sensitive and varied range of initiatives.
Finally, the Friends of Brera take part in the programs of the Italian Federation of Friends of Museums (FIDAM) and the World Federation of Friends of Museums (WFFM), whose values and objectives it endorses (link to the site).
The Friends of Brera association is open to all those who share its principles and aims, such as social responsibility, cultural patronage, love of our history and art. Individuals, businesses and organisations can contribute with their support to making the Association a point of reference in the city’s cultural life by playing an active part in our numerous initiatives and specially devised events.
Supporting the Pinacoteca di Brera is an act of generosity that enables the community to strengthen and enhance its identity.
